If you are eager to plunge into an exclusive atmosphere of medieval times & discover the amazing landscape of northwestern Africa, then Morocco is the most suitable place to have a good time in. One of the Prime Moroccan tourist attractions that is well worth visiting is the beautiful city of Fes. The date of its foundation goes back to the middle ages and it is thought to be the most romantic, beautiful city in the world by many of its visitors.

As soon as you think of Morocco, the first thing that crosses your mind is probably the riad.  Besides Fes you can discover riads in Essaouira and Marrakesh. The exterior was traditionally plain to avoid the unnecessary invasion of privacy & any extremes of weather.  Nonetheless, the only imposing masterpiece of the exterior riad is the grand ornamented front door. Hollywood celebrities frequently visit Morocco to enjoy the exquisiteness and beauty of Marrakesh Palmeraie villas & splendour of Fes riads.

Although the riad seems unremarkable from the outside, with the exception of the front door, which is a defining characteristic of the Islamic architectural tradition, as soon as you enter it you find yourself in a majestic world. It is only inside where you can enjoy the breath-taking and authentic view. The heart of the riad functions as a dividing line between the private and the public. You will be stunned by finely adorned tiles. There is an open space in the centre of the building.

When you get inside, you will find yourself calm and relaxed, as if nothing else in the world matters. With the riad you will plunge into a fairy-tale told by Scheherezade.  Furthermore, you will not find 2 similar riads, because each is unique. If you want to stay in a hotel during your journey to the north-western part of Africa, you will encounter other Moroccan idiosyncracies, for example an unusual hotel ratings system and a shortage of verified information.  The star ratings system may lead to some confusion. Because the situation in Morocco changes at a swift rate, we recommend that you check out  the most current information.  Do your research by reading through magazines and newspapers, brochures and guidebooks, browse on the Internet, contact a travel agent to collect necessary information on journeys to Morocco to avoid unneeded hassles.
